I ran into an issue where textonic didn’t run BibTeX for some reason and I think it’s because it only checks the supplied main tex file for the \bibliography command. Because when I moved my bibliography into that file it worked.
Is this a currently known (but undocumented) limitation?
Should I create a GitHub issue for that?
Sorry for the extremely late reply — but it would be great if you could file an issue with a short example document! Tectonic actually figures out when bibtex needs to be run using a slightly different method than what you’re thinking, but clearly something is going wrong.
